When exactly did we become so dependent on a small device that shows us numbers? I mean almost every woman on Earth is almost obsessed with the weight. When did it become so important.
It’s very weird, especially remembering that one of the most beautiful women in art Aphrodite of Milos could never be considered skinny.
I find myself horrified by the lengths people are willing to go just to become skinny. And in all honesty I don’t really understand it.
True, sometimes even I get on a scale and think there should be less of me. But mostly I just ignore it. And wonder why others can’t do the same.
And then I see these children at work.
“Oh, no I’ve eaten two sandwiches for lunch I’m gonna be fat!” And I just want to walk up to them and ask them why the hell are they killing themselves.
Or the other ones, the teenagers who look like children from horrific photos of some third world country. Only skin and bones. And they still consider themselves too fat.
I wonder if they make jeans in size -1 for those who have become too thin for a size 0?
And even I…. I could be rambling about tv-shows or the hotness of Gwaine or the tragedy of freedom of speech… Instead I’m ranting about people killing themselves in the name of being walking skeletons…
